e-Builder Enterprise | Epipheo
E-Builder is a robust project management system for construction owners. From education, healthcare, commercial, and local, state, and federal government projects, they tasked Epipheo to create a premium 3D video that showcased e-Builder’s product and mission from start to finish.
Concept Pitches
Concept 1: An e-Builder Journey
The first idea I pitched utilized the stripes in the e-Builder logo (bottom right) to guide us through the owner’s journey from beginning to end. The stripes would create barriers and entanglements to demonstrate the issues with current options available, and untangle into a beautiful, connected path as e-Builder is introduced. We would then follow the dynamic path through the various key selling-points of the product.

Concept Two: Building on a Blueprint
The second concept took a wider approach where I wanted to specifically highlight all the different types of construction projects e-Builder was fit to help with. By using a blueprint as our base idea, I tied in e-Builder’s years of expertise and set the stage for a higher purpose — i.e. you’re not just building a hospital, you’re saving lives. This concept would use 3D icons to give a clear and simple overview of the construction process, while ultimately ending on an aspirational city that was constructed with ease and quality all along the way.

Animatic
Trimble ultimately chose concept two, but really responded to the way e-Builder united all the steps of the construction process from the first concept. I moved into the animatic stage focusing on the build-up, transitions, laying out the icons and city, and bringing the blueprint idea all together in a satisfying and moving way. I also added music to help elevate these key moments and build the story arc as the video moves towards the great reveal.
